We appreciate that families are working hard to get their children to school on time. However, attendance is a key component to a child’s education. So, it is very important to call when your child will not be in school. Please do everything you can to leave a few minutes earlier to ensure a timely arrival. Please pay close attention to House Bill 410. Coming Late or Leaving Early? Ohio Law now says that’s the same as skipping school. Since this is a law SCA will be following these procedures.
Friday, October 6, 2017, starts our Dress Down Day. We are stressing appropriate attire to be worn to school on Dress Down Day and we are discouraging the wearing of any extreme clothing.
Our third-grade students are working aggressively preparing for the upcoming Ohio State English, Language Arts Test. The test will Tuesday, October 24, 2017. Parents make sure your child is reading at least 30 minutes in the evenings. Grades K-8 will be taking the Terra Nova Test on Tuesday, October 24th.
