Dear Parents/Guardians and Friends,

Welcome back to school! We are excited to start this new school year off with a Praise to the Lord for ALL His kindness for blessing our students, faculty, and staff to stay safe over their summer breaks. I am delighted to render sincere salutations to all the new and returning families to Sonshine and extend heartfelt gratitude for entrusting your beautiful children in our care. As a friendly reminder, school starts promptly at 7:30 AM (children may arrive no earlier than 7:10 AM) and ends at 2:30 PM. I appreciate you trusting the Administration, Faculty, and Staff of Sonshine with the responsibility of providing Excellence in Education with a Christ-Centered Focus! I pray the remainder of this school year is just as blessed as it has been these past two weeks.

 We ask that you please continue to stress the importance of good nightly rest, timely attendance to school, and exceptional behaviors to be on display with each of your children. Sonshine Christian Academy is committed to the academic responsibility of exposing your children to both State and National Standards, but we also vow to partner with you to emphasize the importance of a Christ-Centered focus of interaction—to maintain the principled values that have governed our community with love, support, and care over the years. Jesus said: a new commandment I give to you, that you love one another, even as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another (John 13:34-35). Remember, it takes a village to raise each child, and I’m grateful for your trust of your precious family in our care. Let’s continue to work together to make this school year a cooperative, fun, and safe one! Should you have any issues, feel free to contact our capable administration team: Ms. Wallace, Principal, Dr. Thompson, Dean, or myself.

 Please continue to show your support for your child as we invite you to join us for our annual Doughnuts with Dad, Goodies with Grandparents, and Muffins with Mom (please see enclosed fliers). We enjoy every opportunity to connect with your family, and hope that you will take a picture, eat a pastry, and encourage the staff and students of SCA with your presence (both occasions are co-educational). If Dad’s or Mom’s are unavailable, please invite Uncles, God-Dad’s, Aunts, God-Mom’s, and Grandparents instead.
